  Metrolina Hearing Aids, Inc. opened for business in 1937 and was originally named Sonotone of Charlotte. The company was an exclusive distributor of Sonotone brand hearing aids in Charlotte, NC for 33 years until 1970, at which time the company broke ties with Sonotone in order to become an independent, multi line hearing aid dispensary. It was in the year 1970 that we became Metrolina Hearing Aids, Inc., the name by which we are known today.Ownership of the company has changed hands only three times in the last 62 years. The current owner, David Bowles took over Metrolina Hearing Aids in 1994, after the retirement of Mr. Bill Amann. David Bowles is a Masters Degree audiologist and has over fifteen years experience in audiology and the hearing aid industry.  With new technology, we can do so much more for our patients than we could just a few years ago. We strive to bring these advances to our patients as we work together to improve their hearing.
